I used this to calculate the peak power my mom could get if she covered the south-facing parts of her roof with solar arrays, and came up with 6000 watts DC: that seems like a lot! Is this because I am completely ignorant of how much power she uses, and even more completely ignorant of how often peak sunlight is actually available. Yes, probably. But just think, she could occasionally power 200 old-school IBM PCs, or more! What’s not to love?
