Blume f’in’ rules

She got me this book for my birthday, and so far it is just unbelievable fascinating. I’ve confessed, previously, to be an inveterate amateur traffic nerd, and this book is to that obsession as a cocaine mine is to Jay McInerney. It’s seriously so, so amazing. Go buy it, you.

Regarding traffic nerding, have you read _The High Cost of Free Parking_? I bought Cana acopy for her birthday, at least in part so I could read it myself.

I haven’t yet, although I’ve been eyeing it warily on amazon for the past few days, since reading about it in Traffic.

Ah, so you’re an August birthday person too, huh? One might even be tempted to call you a Leo. Glad you got great giftage (and on that front, Sir Kraab rules too, just so you know), I’ve put that book on my list of things to check out.

Call me a Leo if you like; I will defer graciously, whatever you might say.
